Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg (beaten)
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup fine coconut
1 cup fine graham wafer crumbs
Whole graham wafers

Directions:

  • Melt butter and sugar together in a saucepan. Add the beaten egg and milk. Heat until thick, stirring continuously.
  • Remove from stove and allow to cool until lukewarm.
  • Stir in coconut, nuts and graham wafer crumbs.
  • Line an ungreased 9″ square pan with whole graham wafers. Spread with the filling then top with another layer of whole graham wafers.
  • Frost with a butter icing and refrigerate.
