Butter Tart Filling: Here’s an easy recipe for a basic butter tart filling, raisins or chopped pecans are called for but I’m sure could also try walnuts if you like. Makes about a dozen tarts, use your favorite pastry recipe or just buy tart shells. Recipe posted on Tipnut.

Cherry Flips: This recipe needs to be chilled overnight before baking. Nice treat that you first roll the dough into balls, flatten, then wrap around drained maraschino cherries. The baked flips are iced with a simple pink icing then coated in nuts for a lightly layered treat. A little fussy to make, but a nice addition to dainty trays. Recipe posted on Tipnut.

Coconut Squares: Every baking tray needs at least a choice or two of a coconut sweet, here’s an easy recipe to try. The top and bottom layers are simply graham wafers, then filled with the coconut goodnes. Cut these into pieces after chilling, makes a 9″ pan. Recipe posted on Tipnut.

Cranberry Tarts: A nice Christmas tart using dates, walnuts and cranberry sauce. There’s a homemade cranberry sauce recipe included, although I’m sure you could use your favorite instead if you prefer. Make a nice lattice pastry top for these, they look nice on the dainty tray.
